Sebastian Klapdor’s mission is to drive lasting business impact from data, AI/ML, and technology. As a Partner at McKinsey, he helped global clients across industries to transform how they generate value through data and technology. In 2019, he joined Vista as the CDO to turn the company into one of the world’s most iconic data and analytics companies. Core element of his vision is to treat data as product and build scalable data products in cross-functional teams on a data mesh architecture. The team has built ML-driven, scalable data products across the value chain incl. pricing, personalization, manufacturing, and customer support. The investment paid off with $100M incremental profit realized and a continuously increasing incremental run-rate. In 2024, Sebastian founded TransformX Group, a specialized consultancy to help companies driving lasting business impact from data, AI, and ML.
