From 2018 to 2019, Tobias was the Senior Director and Head of Financial Reporting at BayernLB’s New York Branch. He led a team of 10, managing Regulatory Reporting, Nostro Reconciliation, General Accounting, Product and Cost Controlling, Accounting Projects, Accounts Payable, and Management Information. He played a crucial role in automating FinRep per IFRS 9 and created a cost-effective strategy that enhanced profitability.

From 2019 to 2021, Tobias became Head of Data Governance, leading a team of 4 and reporting to the CDO. He was responsible for Data Governance tasks, rolling out Data Ownership and Stewardship, ensuring BCBS 239 compliance, and implementing a central Data Quality Framework. He reported progress to the ECB and addressed data quality issues, ensuring high data standards for BayernLB.

In 2021, Tobias joined Informatica as the Data Governance & Privacy Lead for DACH, advising customers on Data Governance strategies during sales cycles. He is now the Data Management Platform Lead for DACH, Middle East, and LATAM, overseeing Data Governance, Data Quality, Data Integration, and iPaaS. Tobias identifies business needs, collaborates with various industries, and partners with GSIs and channel partners to drive customer adoption and business value. He also supports field enablement and acts as a subject matter expert on Data Governance.
