Appointed in 2023, Una Shortt is currently the Group Chief Data Officer at Schneider Electric.

Una joined Schneider Electric in 2004 and has enjoyed a dynamic career in Software & Data Engineering, Data Architecture & Governance, working with talented individuals & teams globally.

Una began her data career writing data quality routines in manufacturing during an internship in 1998. Enterprise Application Interfaces in Capital Markets followed. From there she began her Schneider Electric career joining APC with a mission to grow BI & Analytics Development, Data Engineering, Business Analysis and Project Management.

She defined the first Analytics Strategy for Schneider Electric in 2012 and contributed to the first Data Lake in 2014. More recently Una delivered a suite of BI & Analytics technologies that enable scaled autonomy for internal stakeholders that has 60K users today.

Una’s experience gave her the knowledge she needed to take on senior leadership roles in Schneider Electric’s data strategy execution, transitioning her career from pure tech to data governance.
