All along Julien’s 20+ year-long career, he has been focusing his professional activity on the data management challenge, filling the gap between IT and business departments in a great variety of contexts such as data warehousing, business intelligence or MDM implementation. He quickly realized that one of the main hurdles for such endeavors was the flawed quality of the data, and that the data quality was an indicator of how well or badly an organization is performing its core activities. This led him to develop his interest in data quality management first and then data governance, and more specifically in the transformation from a process-centric organization towards a data-centric organization. Based on his experience in many different business sectors, he now advises and supports CDO’s in the definition and implementation of their company’s data journey designed to enable the management of their data as an asset. He is active in French-speaking Switzerland, and leads Strategy & Data Governance consulting services at Business&Decision Geneva.
