Creating value from data is only possible with a solid data foundation. While data and analytics use cases typically receive more management attention, the data foundation is often overseen or even de-prioritized. This session will discuss two important questions: First, what is the data foundation, and how does it evolve with the increasing business criticality of data? Second, what does it take to get the data foundation right? The session will summarize findings from the Competence Center Corporate Data Quality (CC CDQ) and present the approach taken by Schaeffler, an automotive supplier that has been recognized for its structured path to implement data management at scale.Session 6A
