Keynote #2

Making Organizations Data and AI-ready: First Steps for CXOs

Abstract:

Do you ever feel like you’re swimming upstream when trying to turn data and AI initiatives into real business value? That silos slow things down? That the culture just doesn’t quite prioritize data? Or that leaders say the right things, but don’t actually help? You’re not alone. After all, today’s organizations were built for the Industrial Revolution—not data and AI.

So what can those leading data and AI efforts actually do? In this session, we’ll explore three fresh, and maybe unexpected, approaches:  First, emphasize people, not just technology:  Get them involved, clarify their roles, and turn them loose.  Trust they will deliver.

Second, emphasize “connector roles,” including data product managers, data ambassadors, and the data science bridge.

Third, emphasize process.  Well-defined and -controlled processes make everything in data and AI so much easier.
