Abstract:
Many organizations discuss data and AI primarily as technology agendas. Yet Executive Boards rarely manage technologies. They manage growth, operational performance, innovation, risk, and accountability. From that perspective, the more relevant question is not how much AI an organization has deployed, but how intelligence improves strategic decisions, execution, and organizational learning. The central thesis of this presentation is that intelligence is not a collection of AI and business intelligence tools. It is the management system that connects strategy, evidence, decisions, work, and learning into a continuous value-creation cycle.
Using Ypsomed’s transformation journey as context, this session explores
how trusted data, business intelligence, and artificial intelligence can be managed as one integrated domain rather than separate initiatives. It
discusses the critical transition from experimentation to operational value, the role of a Hub-and-Spoke operating model, and the governance principles required in a regulated MedTech environment. Particular attention is given to human accountability, trust, and the Executive Board’s responsibility to balance technological possibilities with business outcomes.
The session offers a practical Executive Board lens for sustaining momentum in Data and AI transformation: technology creates possibilities, but management creates value.
