Dr. Rainer Hoffmann serves as the Chief Data Officer at EnBW AG. In this capacity, he passionately drives the scaling of data and AI initiatives towards shaping a sustainable energy future. Previously, Mr. Hoffmann was accountable for a Data & Analytics Excellence program, held a position as a Data Scientist in energy trading, and established algorithmic trading at EnBW. Concurrently, he is an adjunct lecturer at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he teaches “Responsible Artificial Intelligence.” Mr. Hoffmann is an industrial engineer with a doctorate in stochastic optimization and holds a Professional Certificate in AI from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
