András Balázs is Executive Leader for Data and AI at Magyar Telekom, where he leads the company’s Data-driven transformation – from building a scalable AI platform to implementing enterprise-wide data strategy and analytics.

Currently pursuing a PhD in AI, András explores the intersection of generative AI and real-time recommender systems, bringing research into practice within the telecommunications domain.

He has over 15 years of global leadership experience across Europe, the US, and Asia, including at GE Digital, where he oversaw IT operations for 300,000+ users, and at Affidea, driving digital healthcare transformation across 150 clinics.

Passionate about turning AI proofs of concept into real-world value, he focuses on sustainable, production-grade AI systems that improve decision-making and business performance. His current mission: making AI not just powerful, but practical, responsible, and widely adopted.
